I am so far having a great time with it and I find that is it easier to follow for me. Definitely helps to pay attention to the kanji part if you’re serious about using this textbook japanesee, since the exercises assume you’ve learned them. Great if using to seriously learn Japanese.

Super satisfied with my purchase. The books feature detailed grammatical explanations which make them extremely useful as references and for review purposes when traveling to Japan or preparing for the Japanese Language Proficiency Examination JLPT.

There is very little left up to the student to try to figure out; and though the exercises are designed for use in a classroom, they can be easily adapted. I personally think this book is actually better as a reference book than one to learn from. Ove While I found this to be a good companion, it didn’t teach me a self-learner in depth very much, probably leaving it up to the teacher to do so.

This is a great textbook for someone who already knows beginner Japanese it is a college level textbook after all but don’t think that just by learning all the kana that you’ll have success with this book.
