The zinc-coated wire shall be capable of being wrapped in a close helix without cracking or delaminating the zinc coating. This specification covers five grades of zinc-coated, steel wire strand, composed of a number of round, steel wires, with four weights of zinc coatings, suitable for use as guys, messengers, span wires, and for similar purposes.
